"I was trying to take a picture of my cat, Yang, who was reflecting herself in the mirror that I was holding to bring her to me. I had no specific intentions. I was indulging in ‘controlled randomness’, partly because a cat does not obey you. I tried a lot until I found the perfect moment when the mirror was placed on my lower abdomen and Yang's head - looking at the camera, attracted by the self-timer's light - formed a... sensual coincidence. Looking at the pictures again, I immediately realised that this photo had its own value, but without imagining what would be unleashed from that 10th of May 2014 when I posted it on social media. From then on, after a lot of likes, shares and friend requests, the photo wasn't mine anymore and the author's credit got lost, as it usually happens on the internet. I found it everywhere, in some funny situations: on the social page of Ornella Muti's daughter, the American art critic Jerry Saltz, a Chinese website that sells t-shirts with cats, lots of memes. Until the paradox of a girl who accused me of having stolen "her" photo to use it on my profile."
